Improv: Our Trip to Second City

What is Improv?

form of live theatre in which the plot, characters and dialogue of a game, scene or story are made up in the moment. Often improvisers will take a suggestion from the audience, or draw on some other source of inspiration to get started.

Our trip

our whole class went to the second city, a Improv & sketch comedy theatre. We had the chance to watch a live preformance on their stage, at first the actors had a script and then eventually they moved to Improv this was very fun and interesting for me they used whatever topic they were given and went with whatever they had on their mind and made it all work. Then we were given the chance to do activities about improv, our class was spilt into groups and one actor worked with each group doing fun activities and exercises about improv. What I learned from this trip was that in improv its best to have nothing in your mind, this will allow you to go with whatever comes up and not think about it after. Overall the trip was very fun and full of learning experiences
